Abstract:The geological relics in Quanzhou County have abundant landscape resources, diverse types, and distinctive features, which are crucial for the county to develop geological tourism to eradicate poverty. Combined with the regional geological background of the county, based on detailed field geological surveys, this paper divides the landscape types of typical geological relics in the county; systematically analyzes their landscape features; and investigates thegeoscience significance of the geological relics landscapes from the perspective of geological tourism development and utilization. The results indicate: (1)The typical geological relics landscapesin Quanzhou were mainly evolved from Devonian andCarboniferous carbonate rocks, as well as Caledonian acid granite; (2)Since the Silurian period, the tectonic framework in the countymainly underwent four periods: granite formation, tectonic framework formation, fault subsidence basin formation, and modern landform formation; (3)The county has a total of 30 typical geological relics landscapes, which are divided into two large classes, four classes, and seven sub-classes according to relevant technical requirements; (4)Thetectonic relics, mining relics, waterrelics, and landform relics in the county have prominentcharacteristics; (5)The geological relics landscapesin the county have important tourism geological research significance infields of tectonics, geomorphology, tourism, and environics. The research results of this paper provide a reference for understandingtypical geological relics landscapes in Quanzhou, and for scientifically and rationally carrying out geological tourism in the county. |
